Through the apostolate of social work we are continuing the ministry of Jesus who came ‘to bring good news to the poor, to proclaim release to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind and to let the oppressed go free ..."(Lk 4:18). The encompassing vision of our founder father St Kuriakose Elias Chavara , states that ‘ Let there be no day in your life in which you did no good to others’. Following his vision we serve the society focusing on the upliftment of women and children through self help groups, skill training centers and other humanitarian activities. The social work activities of the province are the response to the socio- cultural aching of the ‘neighbors’ near and far. Becoming the good Samaritans to the poor and needy we strive to present the compassionate face of the Heavenly Father to all His children.
